Fees

A fee is charged to use of the CEAF instruments.  These fees will help recover a portion of the costs associated with the operation and maintenance of the instrument.  An instrument-training fee is charged per user per instrument. Each equipment requires 2 sessions of the training (Assited user fee is charged). If additional training is necessary, it will be billed at the hourly rate for the appropriate instrument. Cancellation must be made at least 6 hours in advance to avoid booking time. The rates are billed by booked time and by real – time usage in excess of booked time. There will be an additional cost for consumables for the sample analysis such as cuvettes, BET cell, standard solutions etc. You can borrow from CEAF or you can purchase directly from the company if it requires frequently.  CEAF staff members will provide the service as per your requirement to analyze the samples.  Please contact the CEAF staff for the information on a quote.  The payment can be made through fund transfer among grants or department at Washington University, and by check from external users.  The fees are revised annually based upon the WashU Fiscal year (July 1 – July 30).
